Founded in 1949 in Aomori Prefecture(青森県), Hokuyo Glass(北洋硝子) is now designated for making "Tsugaru Vidro/津軽びいどろ". One of the main features of the Vidro is the "colours with senses of seasonality" created by combining more than 100 colours to create a memorable moment of beautiful scenery.

Hanabi(花火), meaning fireworks in Japanese, is the inspiration behind this series. Colourful dots featuring fireworks?delicately represent the fleeting beauty of fireworks decorating the holiday nights.

This wind chime is created for use in the undercovered balcony or garden. It produces healing tones when there is wind and great colours when it is reflected by the sunlight.

As the whole piece is handmade in Japan, slight irregularities in size, glaze, colour and texture might occur and reflect the nature of the artisan product.
